VOICES: Our Stories Before Roe V. Wade
In 2022 the Supreme Court reversed Roe v. Wade, declaring that the constitutional right to an abortion which had stood for nearly fifty years no longer existed. At Rossmoor, a senior community in California, a group of women took action in response to the court’s decision. Community members told their memories of pre-Roe abortions, and two retired theater professionals wrote and directed a play based on these true stories. Watch the documentary here.
Baseball Mensch - The Marty Lurie Story
Working with our friends at SF Giants, this is the start of a one-hour sports doc about well-loved broadcaster Marty Lurie. Marty gave up his legal career at age 49 to reinvent himself and follow his lifelong passion for baseball. Crime of the Big Leagues
Lester Rodney, sportswriter for the Daily Worker in the 1930's-40’s, was a leading voice fighting segregation in Major League Baseball. Screened at major film festivals and now part of the permanent collections at the Negro Leagues Museum in Kansas City and the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
